First of all, I would just like to thank any and everyone in advance for all your help. I am taking care of my mom who has ALS or better known as Lou Gerigs. She has had the disease going on four years now. I have been taking care of her all this time. However she is now a quadraplegic, on a ventilator, has a feeding tube, cannot talk nor move. She still has eye movement, and lip movement, that is how we communicate. My father who is 72 years old is also caring for her. She does not qualify for a skilled nurse! Isn't that something? She is on life support and she does not have a full time skilled nurse. To make a long story short,I have exhausted my 401k and any other money that I had saved. I have charged my credit cards to the hilt just trying to make it! I also have a ten year old daughter who has been a trooper in all of this. We are at her grandparents 24/7, the neighborhood is not the greatest so she cannot go outside to play. I feel so guilty because I feel as if I am putting our lives on hold to take care of my mom. I can't take her anywhere, She needs new clothing, and shoes. I am so ashamed as a parent. I have been so consumed with taking care of my parents that I stopped taking care of us. I owe the IRS $1300, which I don't have, I have bills, and a car note that I am a payment behind. I hate to ask but pennies,nickels, dimes, anything!!! helps. I also live in Chicago. My father and I made a schedule where I could work part-time nights. If you have a lead on any part time evening jobs, Please send them to me. I am not above working. I have always worked.
